SEE YA LATER, WARNER BROS!

The news is out!!!! I put in my two weeks notice at Warner Bros. Online today. I can not believe that I did that! I have been with WB for nearly 7 years; it being my 3rd job out of college. (If you're trying to do the math, just know I'm still 19!) I'm going to sincerely miss all the people that I've met and worked with over the years, but mostly I'm going to miss seeing all the friendly faces every Monday - Friday!!!!

Back to my story, I am going on to greener pastures!!! I'm moving up to a golden opportunity. a BIG PHAT GOLDEN opportunity. The company name is not as important as the "person" I am going to be working for. His name is Ryan Blair - and his picture should be somewhere below in another blog of mine. Ryan Blair is a 29 year old multi-millionaire. He is also a mentor, inspirational speaker and motivator.

As for myself, I will be the Director of Web Development. I was offered a job to head his brainchild, "PathConnect" a online community devoted to goal-setting and mentorship. It's like MySpace meets 43things.com - but BETTER!

This is the most exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity I have EVER heard of. What's most trippy is how quickly this happened. I did not anticipate a job offer, let alone get to hang out with people who have "been there, done that".

You may wonder how I met him and his company? The answer is:

MySpace.
(Not far from how I met my husband :D)

Pimp a bitch!

So it's been 2 months since I got the axe, and so far no new gig. It's sorta ok though, since I've had my hands full with finishing up the kitchen remodeling projects that I can't pay anyone to do! I'm faux-finishing my cabinets, and hopefully they'll look as good as I think they will. Once I get them done, I'll put up a gallery of pics so you all can see the before & after shots.

I just wanted to check in and leave a link to my resumé in case anyone has leads or contacts that might need a multi-talented, knows-a-little-about-a-lot-of-things kinda gal like me!

HTML version is here: http://justrox.com/resume.html (no reference contact info included, since I doubt my former coworkers want spam!)

Word doc is here (no link on the site): http://justrox.com/RoxRes2006.doc

Hope everyone's doing well. We'll have to get together for lunch again one of these days!

Oh yeah, and here's a link to my little corner of MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/rox1smf -- Send me an add request!

Miss you all lots...
