Come celebrate Breedlove, Wagaman, Jeff Chang, and Eric & Ann Marie's emancipation, the return to the throne for Su Kelsey, the babies on the way, the engagements, the weddings, the divorces, the softball playoff game we almost won three years ago if the ump would've called the game when he should've instead of having us play one more inning, etc. There's always a good reason to get together and make some new memories while talking about old ones.

It's baby-time again. Rachel Elizabeth Vardaman was born on Nov. 12 (Scorpio girls unite!) She weighed in at a healthy 7 lbs. 2 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long.

Baby, mother, father, brother, dogs and fish are all doing well.

Yep, that's right folks, Milano's has shuttered its doors. They're currently looking for a new location, but in the meantime, the old relaible haunt is gone. I guess we drank there more often than we thought.... ;)
So, in lieu of Milano's, any suggestions for a good after work drinks place? I've been thinking it's been a while since we got all the lushes together....

Matt's Homecoming

(Before you jump to any conclusions, I want to say I don't know when Matt is coming home. It's roughly another 3 months! It's also very likely I won't know until a few days/hours within his arrival due to the nature of the Navy/Army)

Hey everyone,
I don't usually post here, but I think this is a good idea because I need everyone's help and I don't necessarily want Matt to know! Since neither Matt nor I have experienced deployment before, I am looking for some suggestions to help make things easy for his big welcome home. Well, I guess I'm jumping ahead of myself since I don't know when he is coming home, but it's soon!!!!! I have been looking for answers on the web, but haven't had much luck. It's all a bit emotional and overwhelming, so I really would appreciate all the help I can get. I have some questions... not sure where to get answers...

Do I throw him a welcome home party immediately?
Who should greet him at the airport? How many people?
Should I wait a while before throwing a party? How long do I wait?
What kind of party do I throw? Alcohol? No? Loud music?
Formal party, or casual, laid back? Lunch or dinner?
What do we talk about? Can I ask about his experience in Iraq?
Is it okay to talk about Iraq?
Any welcome home banner at the house? Inside or outside?
Will it be too overwhelming for him? For me?
Should I decorate the house? The garden outside?
I don't know what to expect!
Am I forgetting anything?

Hi! My name is Dave and I like game development more than any profession in the whole wide world. I express myself in various ways, from writing stories and poetries, to making games. The enjoyment and laughter brings me back the energy to keep myself alive.

Anyway, I figure I join Warner Bros., a company once known for its unconstrained creativity through cinematic and animation, expressing truth and values without the sugarcoating of censorship and conformism. I came with much enthusiasm and unlimited energy, ready to help bring a smile to a world that needs it so much. But instead, I find myself in the dank remnants of a corporation that was once a pillar of integrity. Instead, I find myself in a place, awash of colors but of black and white. An amalgamation of mild people bereft of dreams. Reality hits me with a speeding 10-ton full metal truck, possibly traveling beyond the speed of a hundred miles per hour.

However, in the dark corridors of lameness and shattered hopes, I have found myself with a few bright industrious individuals who put much effort and devotions to their trade, exploited by the lackluster overlords who are completely devoid of passion. I can only implore them to find a more deserving environment before they too become the very monsters who enslave them.

As much as I wanted to stay in the comforts of this imprisoning cubicle, I must continue my journey to the rugged, battered road. I may face certain perils, perhaps from the intergalactic space invaders who feast on human brains or psychopath worshipers of the dead dragon carcass. I have it good, cool and I'm grateful, but destiny begs me to move on. And in my tattered sack of a heart filled with booze, pom-pons and marinated Popsicle sticks, I will hold the goodness that I've found here.

I could probably explain why I never liked this company in a million different ways, but let's just say it's not my cup of tea. All you have to do is look at the number of people who decided to free themselves from the life sucking, creativity crushing, and money hoarding Warner Bros. (A company who succeeds in failure, exceeding expectations in mediocrity, if not disappointment, which seem to only make money by sacking people.)

I have a lot to say, but I'll leave that to you, those who have the ability to expound their whines better than I do. I have not the patience to deliberate the facts and debate; the impossible deprogramming of the plantation owner, their workers and their slaves.

And that concludes my 1 and 5/6 years at Warner Bros.

So to express my feelings, I can only show you this:

Busta Needs A New Home!

Special Message From Cindy & Gaby:

So... Here’s the thing: we’ve given it 5 months, but Busta really isn’t cool with Wiley being the new guy in the house. That’s right – this house just ain’t big enough for the both of ‘em, and well, we’re keeping Wiley. :-) We’re very sad to let our catboy go, but we really have to. :-(

At present, Busta is an outdoor kitty – as of 2 days ago. He’s got all his shots, he’s been chipped for identification, should he ever get lost. He’s a great cat, extremely loving, but very jealous of the baby. We could keep him here as an outdoor kitty, but he really wants to be inside. The ideal situation for him: a place where HE is top cat, numero uno, where he gets all the love and attention, can go out for a few hours, and then stay inside where he can do what he does best: SLEEP. Well, sleep and EAT – he thoroughly enjoys his chow. He’s a super lap kitty and loves to chat. He’s twelve years old and in great health (just saw the vet 2 weeks ago). He enjoys catnip toys, pina coladas and getting caught in the rain – well, scratch the rain part. :-D

If you or anyone you know could provide a good home for Busta, please give us a shout.

Gameface Sountrack Party
